About
Curt Ford began designing and voicing e-learning videos while teaching Russian at the University of South Carolina. When his voice was recognized at a national conference – by someone who’d never seen him – he realized the power of delivery that’s clear, thoughtful, and approachable.
Whether you need an audio guide for curious tourists, reassurance for a worried patient, an e-learning module for a critical qualification, or an explainer video on a cool new tool, Curt will bring to your project the encouragement and clarity that were core elements of his teaching.
He now works from his home studio near San Francisco, specializing in e-learning, corporate and medical narration, and audio tours. Training with coaches like Samantha Paris, Thom Pinto, Dave Fennoy, Debbie Irwin, and others, Curt has honed his skills for the nuances of e-learning, commercial reads, and narration.
Prototypes: Bob McGrath, Bob Ross, Rick Steves.
An inveterate travel buff and language nerd, Curt has lived in Russia, Finland, and the Netherlands. He’s fluent in Russian, comfortable with German, working hard on his Irish (cé nach bhfuil ach cúpla focal agam fós!), and has dabbled in others from French to Finnish.
When he’s not in his studio, he can be found hiking on Mt. Tamalpais, singing with the San Francisco Bach choir, baking bread, or scrolling microphone reviews (but he does love his Shure KSM32).
